Winemaker Pedro Garcia’s family goes back four generations to Spain wherein they brought grapes to the gorgeous valley of Guadalupe in 1950 and made it their own. Cava García is really known as a locals spot, with a family style setting that makes you feel like you’ve been invited over for an intimate celebration. Amongst the spacious grounds there are high wood tables where people gather to taste both the rich wines from the valley as well as local olives and goat cheese. Alcohol levels tend to run a bit higher than average in the valley, so you’ll find that many of the reds are served chilled here (also a local tradition). You’ll appreciate this as you grab a seat at the bar and taste several of them while lounging in the warmth of Cava García.
